Odyssey Sail & Power Charters

Book a three-hour Charleston Harbor cruise on Capt. Mike and Miss Judy’s sailing vessel Odyssey, which is a vintage 2002 Catalina 350, hull #14.

Mike and Judy sailed from La Salle, MI to French Wells, Crooked Island, The Bahamas (aka paradise). From paradise, they sailed northwest to the Florida Keys, Gulf of Mexico, Dry Tortugas, Florida Straits, and the Atlantic Ocean before arriving in Charleston.

Seaside Creek, James Island is where they now call home. After thousands of sea miles and living aboard for three years, they now sail between Charleston and the Florida Keys, Charleston Harbor and the beautiful low country!

The Best way to experience Historic Charleston

I live and powerboat in the Charleston area, and recently went sailing with Capt. Mike on Odyssey. What a great experience, I'm not sure where to start! First, the tranquil, relaxing pace of sailing was a treat to the senses. Actually hearing the wind and waves, while smelling the salt air was exhilarating. As someone who is accustomed to being at the helm, I was totally relaxed with Capt. Mike. It was obvious he was a very competent and experienced sailor with many miles under the keel. He even let this power boater have a turn at the helm. As a local, I thought I knew Charleston Harbor, but Capt. Mike's extensive knowledge kept providing local lore and facts to add to a great time on the water. My wife, son, his girlfriend, and I all had a great time sailing Charleston Harbor on Odyssey with Capt. Mike.

Sunset Cruise- Best in Charleston!

We booked this cruise through the Odyssey website and were joined by 3 other wonderful passengers for a 3 hour tour of the Charleston waters. Captain Mike has many stories and is very knowledgeable about sailing. His Frist Mate, Check his website for his history! His first mate, Don, was also very charming. The boat is gorgeous and comfortable. He let us help with the sails and steering and taught us about sailing. He explained the history and highlights of the area. We saw dolphins (who doesn’t love them) and pelicans diving for fish. It is BYOB (wish we had brought more) and the sunset was perfect. This was so much fun! Honestly, you are lucky to snag a reservation with Captain Mike on the Odyssey and we will certainly be back to do it again!

A don't miss experience in Charleston!

I took the approx 3 hour tour on the "Odyssey", a 35 foot sailboat that has been to many corners of the world. I am not a sailor but found sailing to be very peaceful, with captain Mike at the helm. As we sailed around the harbor we saw dolphins, large container ships, shrimper boats, and several forts. Captain Mike explained the history which was interesting because you are seeing the forts etc like the sailors saw them back during the day. The Odyssey is a very comfortable yacht and a great way to see Charleston from a unique perspective. I took the cruise in the morning which was great but want to take a sunset cruise on the Odyssey in the future.

A sunset sail that can’t be beat!

We booked our sunset sail last minute and it was the best decision for our weekend! The boat itself was beautiful and the sailing route was stunning. Captain Mike was accommodating from the beginning of booking to seeing the sunset at the end of the sail. He is incredibly knowledgeable about both sailing and Charleston. Captain Mike and his crew truly made the experience! Highly recommend to anyone looking to see Charleston from the wat

Unique sailboat tour of Charleston Harbor

Had a great time out on the water with Mike and his crew! Mike was a wealth of historical and cultural information about Charleston and the tour offered some incredible views of the peninsula only possible from a boat. First time on a sailboat and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend this excursion!
